When we realize that we can do something that can benefit the lives of others, we have the possibility to leave a positive impact on society. We are now at one step distance of the Social Inclusion Days, an International Erasmus Student Network Programme where people from countries all across Europe try to improve the society. Starting from November 19th until December 3rd, ESN Constanta will organize a few events that will have as the main purpose raising awareness of disability issues among the general public and raising the social impact international students have upon the local community.
Below you have a brief description of our next events:

1. International Blind Dinner:
Did you know that potatoes were the first food to be grown in space? But did you know that eating chocolate cake can improve your math skills? We want to find out together many other secrets from international cuisine by inviting you guys to cook your favorite food from your home country. The event will be hosted on Monday, 19th of November, at 7 pm, at “Phoenix Club”. As a matter of respect for the blind people, we will have a moment where you will be blindfold and eating at the same time. So bring your best cooking skills and the good vibe, we will be waiting for you there!

2. Say no to violence!
Did you know that a person is at risk of developing violent tendencies because of factors like biological traits, family bonding, individual characteristics, intelligence and education, child development or peer relationships? Let’s try to fight together against this type of behaviour! Wednesday, 21st of November, at 7:30 pm, at the Dorms, we invite you to say no to violence in your mother language and let us recorder you. With your help, we will make different cultures fight against violence!

3. Movie Night:
We live on a blue planet that circles around a ball of fire next to a moon that moves the sea, and you don’t believe in miracles? Wednesday, 21th of November, we invite you to a movie night, where we will see together how miracles are happening. The event will be hosted at the Dorms and will start at 8:00 pm. We are waiting for you to eat popcorn while watching a movie with a strong emotional impact.

4. National Flashmob:
Supporting animals? But education? Respecting the environment? Fighting against discrimination? Appreciating health? Raising awareness for poverty or violence? All of these SocialErasmus are represented by a symbol, so…let’s try to be creative this time! On Friday, 23th of November, we want to support the SocialErasmus causes by making the symbol of the project, a small hand created by people. We kindly ask you all to participate and being part of a strong ESN Section, united for social purposes, supporting together the SocialErasmus causes!

5. Erasmus in Schools:
We would like to integrate the international students in the local community and make everybody fight against stereotypes. You will find us in a high school, where we will encourage two of our Erasmus+ students to give a lesson about their country, culture and traditions, in order to make the high school students understand better the values and the culture of the international students' home country.

6. Blood Donation:
In this year, volunteers from ESN Constanta are thinking to save a life! But did you know donating blood doesn’t just benefit recipients? According to a report by the Mental Health Foundation, helping others can also reduce stress, improve your emotional well-being, benefit your physical health and also provide a sense of belonging and reduce isolation! So guys, even if you can’t donate blood right now because is not allowed by the Romanian law, we really support you to donate in your home countries. Do not forget that sharing is caring!

7. Free Hugs:
Brrrrr! Winter is coming! And this year actually it comes earlier than we expected! So definitely everybody needs someone to warm them up. But after all, did you know that, according to an American therapist, we need 4 hugs a day for survival, 8 hugs a day for maintenance, and 12 hugs a day for growth? This year we will make a bond between the students that will go to the Winter Trip and the students that will stay in Constanta. We will try to give hugs at the same time! On Friday, 30th of November we invite you to make the local community grow by sharing your warmest free hugs!
